Coaching Disclaimer
Roots 2 Rise Coaching offers life and leadership coaching. Coaching is a partnership focused on growth, clarity, and forward movement. It is not therapy, counseling, psychotherapy, or medical or mental health treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed therapist, physician, or other qualified professional.
Some of this work is trauma-informed. That means I bring care and awareness to how the past can show up in the present. It does not mean I diagnose, treat, or provide clinical care for trauma or any mental health condition. If you are working through something that calls for that kind of support, coaching can sit alongside it, but it does not replace it.
Every person and every pathway is different. I cannot and do not promise specific outcomes, results, or timelines. What you build from this work is yours, shaped by your own choices, effort, and circumstances.
You are responsible for your own decisions and actions. Nothing shared in a session is professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.

Privacy Policy

Roots 2 Rise Coaching (“Roots 2 Rise,” “I,” or “me”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information I collect through www.roots2risecoaching.com, how I use it, and the choices you have. Roots 2 Rise Coaching is operated by L'Anja Barbic, doing business as Roots 2 Rise Coaching.
Information I collect
Information you give me directly. When you fill out the contact form, sign up for my email list, book a session, or become a client, you may share your name, email address, and anything else you choose to include, such as details about what brought you to coaching. If you book or pay for a session, you also provide the information needed to complete that booking and payment.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, my site collects some technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages you view, and how you arrived. This happens through my website platform and its analytics and cookies.
I do not ask for or want sensitive personal information through the website. Please do not send health details or other sensitive information through the contact form.
The tools I use
My website is hosted on Squarespace. Bookings and payments are handled through HoneyBook, and some purchases may go through my website checkout on Squarespace. Payments are processed through these providers' systems. My email newsletter is sent through [confirm email platform]. These providers process your information on my behalf so the site and my business can function. Each has its own privacy practices, and I encourage you to review them.
How I use your information
I use the information I collect to respond to your messages, schedule and deliver coaching, process payments, send updates or newsletters you have signed up for, run and improve my website, and meet legal and tax obligations.
How I share your information
I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with the service providers listed above so they can perform their functions, or if I am required to by law. That is the full list.
Cookies and tracking
My website uses cookies and similar tools to function and to understand general site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or similar opt-out signal, I treat it as a request to opt out of any sharing of your information for those purposes.
If you join my email list, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. I will stop sending marketing emails to you when you do.
Your choices and your rights
You can ask me what personal information I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. To make a request, email me at lanjab@roots2risecoaching.com. If you are a California resident, you have rights under California law to access, delete, and limit the sharing of your personal information, and I will not treat you differently for exercising them.
How long I keep your information
I keep your information only as long as I need it for the purposes described here, to run my business, and to meet legal and tax requirements. After that, I delete or de-identify it.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect your information and rely on the security practices of the platforms I use. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website and my services are meant for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided me information, please contact me and I will delete it.

My site may link to other websites I do not control. This policy does not cover their practices, so please review theirs.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I will change the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on this page.

The coaching relationship
Booking or buying a session does not by itself create a coaching relationship. The actual coaching engagement is governed by the separate coaching agreement you receive and sign before we begin. If anything in these terms conflicts with that signed agreement, the signed agreement controls.
Booking, pricing, and payment
Prices are listed on the site and may change over time. Payment is due as described at checkout or in your coaching agreement. Bookings and payments are handled through HoneyBook and my payment processor.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms are described in your coaching agreement and booking confirmation. Please review those terms before you book, since they tell you how to cancel or reschedule and what is refundable.
Results
Coaching outcomes depend on your own choices, effort, and circumstances. I do not promise specific results, and any examples or testimonials on this site are individual experiences, not guarantees of what you will achieve.
My content
The text, images, workbooks, and materials I create for Roots 2 Rise are mine and are protected by copyright. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute them without my written permission. Materials I share with you as a client are for your personal use.
Using the site responsibly
Please do not misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for anything unlawful. I may limit or end access if the site is misused.
Links to other sites
My site may link to other websites I do not control. I am not responsible for their content or practices.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Roots 2 Rise Coaching is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or its content. The site and its content are provided “as is.”
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Santa Clara County, California.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I will change the effective date above. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
